Hot Fuzz is a 2007 British action comedy directed by Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead) that spoofs the conventions of the American "buddy cop" film genre popularized in such films as the Bad Boys and Lethal Weapon series. Sergeant Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) is sent from London to the small, English countryside town of Sandford because his extreme dedication to being a London constable consistently upstages his colleagues. When he arrives in Sandford, he uncovers a plot by a small cabal of residents to rid the town of anything and anyone they find disrupts the peace and harmony they strive for.
A Two Tone (stainless frame, black slide) Jericho 941 F "Baby Eagle" is used by Sergeant Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) in the supermarket and pub shootouts, which he dual wields with his Taurus PT92 AF.
SIG-Sauer P226
When Danny and Angel watch Point Break, the infamous scene is shown when Johnny Utah (Keanu Reeves) aims his SIG-Sauer P226 pistol at Patrick Swayze's character and fires his gun empty into the air, a scene which is later replicated by Danny and his father.
Smith & Wesson 5906
Danny Butterman (Nick Frost) uses a Smith & Wesson 5906 as one of his sidearms, sometimes dual wielding it with a Charter Arms Snub. He is seen using it during the pub shootout and during the car chase to shoot at Simon Skinner's (Timothy Dalton) car. His father, Inspector Frank Butterman (Jim Broadbent) gets a hold of it in the final scene in the mini-village and threatens his son with it. Danny then retains the weapon while Frank runs off - unwilling to shoot his own father, Danny angrily fires the S&W into the air while lying on his back (spoofing a scene from Point Break).
Taurus PT92AFS
Sergeant Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) uses a Taurus PT92AFS as his main sidearm during his assault on the town, sometimes dual wielding it along with his Jericho 941 "Baby Eagle".
In one of the DVD special features Simon Pegg is shown answering questions at a Q&A. He mistakenly refers to the Taurus as a Beretta. He does however get the Jericho "Baby Eagle" correct.
Inspector Frank Butterman (Jim Broadbent) uses two engraved Colt 1851 Navy revolvers with gold cylinders and ivory grips when he confronts Angel and his officers in the pub. They can also be seen mounted on the wall of his office. Since Frank seems to be a bit of a Western lover, these guns seem to fit him well.
A number of No.1 Mk III* rifles (along with a couple of Lee-Enfield No.4 rifles) were also found in Arthur Webley's (David Bradley) barn earlier in the film.
Air Rifle (BSA Cadet)
While on duty during the town's festival, Danny begs Angel to try out at the Rifle Range. Angel picks up an Air Rifle, most likely a B2 Deluxe Air Rifle with Monte Carlo Stock, and takes out all six man targets in about two seconds. Anyone who has ever uses one of these air rifles should know that they are a single shot weapon and that it takes at least 5 seconds to break open and cock the spring and load it. Angel must be an uber-shooter in order to accomplish such an impossible task. However, it's possible the film is simply intentionally edited to skip any reloads, as a similar style of jump-cutting is used elsewhere in the film (such as in the brief pursuit of a speeding motorist near the beginning).
if heckler and koch can send an 82 yr old a MP5 that lives in a small country town mistaking here for a police station anythings posable - scarecrow

The last time I checked, the Conservatives and other right-wing political parties in the UK were as equally against legal gun ownership as their Labour and left-wing counterparts. Don't forget that the 1988 gun laws (the laws that prohibited the legal ownership of semi-automatic centrefire rifles in the UK) that were introduced in the UK after the Hungerford massacre in 1987 were done by Margaret Thatcher's Tory Government.
It seems that the conservatives in both the UK and Australia are against gun ownership and support draconian gun laws (I know because I live in Australia, I own a few firearms and I saw first hand the anti-gun hysteria the conservative government of John Howard and the Australian media whipped up in Australia in the days and weeks after the Port Arthur massacre in April 1996)-Roughneck Jase 10:09AM AEST, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

:That sums up the the UK gun situation quite well Roughneck Jase. However, the conservatives opinions of guns (UK atleast) can partly be blamed on wanting to appear friendly and liberal - in other words, gain votes. There are that many MAG type groups in the UK, they're bound to get some votes by appearing anti-gun. @ Scarecrow - if you're talking about what I think you are, it was actually the Police Firearms training centre, not H&K who sent the elderly lady the submachine gun! == Outtake firearm ==
In one of the outtakes which you can find on youtube, it shows Simon Pegg failing to do the S019 scene and you can briefly see the Police officer behind him with a shotgun which resembles a Remington 870 but it could be a Winchester or Mossberg used later on, infact The British armed forces use Remingtons for door breaching.

Old People
it may be just me, but it seems most of the older townspeople in the movie do a better job of firing their weapons than the younger ones, case in point being Mr. Treacher and the shopkeeper with the Steyr. I guess that proves the old adage, with age comes experience. :P -- K 98.118.59.151 21:13, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

Mr. Treacher is so good with firarms because the actor playing him (Tim Barlow) is actually deaf! He had lost his hearing for over fifty years before having a cochlea transplant in 2008, one year after this film was made. (jackbel)

G36
During the SO19 scene at the beginning, Simon Pegg fires an automatic burst into the offender with the Kalashnikov. This is incorrect as all weapons used by British Police are limited to Semi-Automatic fire only, as an officer may only use the number of bullets necessary to stop the suspect. This does not apply to Military Police.
Theocd

:This is not entirely true. It is the case that standard ARV (Armed Response Vehicle) officers and foot officers will only be issued semi-automatic weapons. However SFOs (Specialist Firearms Officers) do on occasion use fully automatic weapons. SFOs would be used for hostage or terrorism related situations, making this case slightly more possible.--Commando552 13:08, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
