The Flash Suppressor just slips over the M14 flash hider and screws into place. It was only there to control muzzle climb and blast during &quot;prolonged auto fire&quot;. The M14 was always (in Nam) a select fire weapon. But the E2 can be used semi auto as a 'sniping weapon' as can any decent battle rifle.
