Doc Brown is seen using a modified [[Winchester Model 1866 "Yellow Boy" Rifle]] with a custom built scope (with exposed optics), custom sights, and large-loop lever. The design of the scope suggests that Doc customized the rifle himself. Armed with this weapon, he demands that Mad Dog Tannen's gang release Marty McFly after shooting through the rope of the noose around his neck. The rifle in the film is actually a reproduction by Cimarron Firearms.
