Cool, you play the Orange Box. Don't go ahead and make a Half-Life article, i want to do that. Are you by any chance from Facepunch Studios? I couldn't help noticing the "Grammar Nazi" thing in your profile. - Flying Dane

Heh, i'll leave the Half Life article to you then. Good luck with it!
Nah, I'm not from Facepunch. Although i do go there often...
Survivors
Good work on the additional screencaps. I am currently watching the show on BBC America, but I don't have HD so I can't do screencaps. When I was in the U.S. Army and stationed in Germany (1993-1996) I made friends with a really nice lady from Scotland who had the complete 70's Survivors on VHS. I watched all three seasons a couple times and thought it was a very interesting show. So when I learned that BBC America was going to be showing the new version I was excited despite all the bad things I'd heard. They are showing the first and second seasons back to back. Episode 4 of the second season will air this Tuesday. I have to say that the second season is stronger, but I don't think it's a bad show. Actually it reminds me of Stephen Kings The Stand. And it shows me what a remake of the The Stand would look like only with the supernatural aspects. Once again good work. Glad to see the page is being updated. --Jcordell 23:36, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

:Cheers! I hope the updated page didn't spoil anything. The second season of Survivors, I think, actually reminds me more of 28 Days Later (more conflict, trying to escape bad people and find safety etc.), although I've never seen The Stand, or the original 70's version, so I may be way off base on that comparison. Still quite a good show overall, don't really understand all the criticisms it's been labeled with. Anyway, thanks again, and I'll try to keep the page updated as much as I can. :D <span style="font-size:9pt;color: #F40;background:#169;border:2px solid #333">Chef Brian</span>Hello! 14:21, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
I think the trouble is that many people are comparing it to the original and don't understand that the original isn't perfect. Actually in the case of the original I thought the first season was the strongest and the second and third seasons were weaker. Though there were some excellent episodes in the later seasons. Like the two parter in the second season where they go into London. Incidentally you aren't the first person to compare 28 Days Later to Survivors. And they both have the same type of "vibe". No you didn't spoil anything for me. I've already gone to imdb and Wikipedia and read the synopsis of the episodes. I'm one of those people who reads the last chapter and then finishes the novel. Take care. --Jcordell 20:19, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
Great. Glad to see you back. I'm not creating as many pages as I was five years ago, but I'm still around and still a moderator so I guess they don't have any problems with me. I've added a few pieces to my collection since we last spoke, but my oldest daughter is now attending university so more of my money is going to that and not to buying firearms. But I still get one or two in a year. Police officers aren't wealthy. --Jcordell (talk) 22:31, 21 March 2015 (EDT)
:This place has changed a bit hasn't it! Getting myself used to all the wiki formatting again haha! I'm fully sure my parents would sympathize helping out financially during university, despite the drama they did help me out a lot during the Uni years. I'm sure it'll all pay off in the end, although I can't say much, being a clerk in an office in Blighty doesn't pay much better! The last firearm I bought (secondhand) was the CZ .17 rifle, early 2014, and that was to clear away some rabbits on my parent's land, so don't despair just yet haha! --<span style="font-size:9pt;color: #F40;background:#169;border:2px solid #333">Chef Brian</span>Hello!

Excuses
(Because I'm English. It's what we're good at.)
Inactivity.
I haven't been as active as I once was due to being literally flooded with schoolwork. Things seem to be calming down a bit now, so I should be here a bit more often. (Not that I'm a key person on here, anyway.)

Inaccurate/missing gun information.
What can I say? I'm from England. We're very much 'anti-everything in the shape of a gun' in this country, and therefore I haven't had that much experience in seeing the tiny details that feature in real life weaponry. So, my apologies if I confuse an AR-15 with an M16, mix up the model numbers of a Smith and Wesson revolver or my outright failure to identify a weapon.

Strange stuff that I've decided to put here for some reason.
It's actually a P5C, the compact version, which has a spurred hammer and shorter barrel.
If you look at the third screen of Williem Dafoe in The Boondock Saints you can see the same gold pin clearly visible in the only shot with Claire Danes on this page. - Charly Driver
Looks to me it is indeed a pt99. Note, however, that it has a much longer barrel and slide. Any notes on that??

Directed by Baz Luhrmann (of Moulin Rouge and 'Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)' fame) the film is a modern adaptation of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Released in 1996, it features Leonardo DiCaprio as Romeo Montague, Claire Danes as Juliet Capulet, John Leguizamo as Tybalt Capulet, Harold Perrineau as Mercutio and Pete Postlethwaite as Father Lawrence.

The following guns were used in the film Romeo + Juliet

(There may be spoilers.)

Para-Ordnance P-13
The main sidearm carried by Romeo (Leonardo DiCaprio) is the Para-Ordnance P-13, which is later used by Juliet to commit suicide. During the gas station shootout, Sampson (Jamie Kennedy) packs a customized gold-plated version. It is also a pistol held by many characters during the film.

Taurus PT99
Most of the 9mm handguns used in the movie by various characters are Taurus PT99 pistols (a variant of the PT92 with raised, adjustable sights) with a number of modifications to make them look "artsy". In addition, the guns' brand names are particular types of knives and swords, so that the filmmakers did not have to change the original dialog by Shakespeare. Since so many of the main characters in the film use these pisols, and each is different in some way, they have been given each their own sub-section.

Benvolio's 'Sword 9mm Series S'
Named the 'Sword 9mm Series S', the gun is seen in the film with an extended, gold plated barrel, extended slide and golden detailing. It also has trinkets which hang from the lanyard hoop on the mainspring housing of the gun, which is a feature shared by many other pistols belonging to other characters.

Tybalt's 'Rapier 9mm Series R'
Tybalt's 'Rapier 9mm Series R' pistols by far in a way steal the show. They feature compensators, extended spring guides and extended, gold-plated barrels, with custom 'Holy Mary' grips. Accuracy can also be improved with the added option of attaching a C-more scope. Seemingly like every other pistol in the movie, it also features gold detailing. (Gold-plated safeties, triggers etc.) The flamboyant and excessively awesome pistols (in my opinion, anyway) reflect the flamboyant and...interesting way Tybalt fights. Twirling, spinning, leaping in the air firing both guns akimbo. This fighting style is later mocked by Benvolio and Mercutio later in the film. Something else that is interesting is that the actor who plays Tybalt sometimes fires each pistol using his middle finger.

Mercutio's 'Dagger 9mm'
By far in a way one of the most impressive pistols ever to grace the silver screen, Mercutio (Harold Perrineau) holds a PT99 with transparent magazines, transparent gun grips, compensator and a gold-plated barrel. It also features various frame and slide cut-outs revealing the inner workings of the gun.

A fellow Montague pulls out his Smith and Wesson Model 629 Classic when Mercutio discusses the upcoming duel with Tybalt.
Beretta 92FS
Modified Beretta 92FS pistols were used by the characters Abra and Petruchio, seen very early on in the film during the gas station shoot-out.

Beretta 92FS Inox
A Beretta 92FS Inox is seen briefly in the hands of a Verona Beach Police officer and, strangely, Romeo, who uses it in the brief shoot-out with Captain Prince when he returns to Verona. Immediately afterward Romeo is seen back with his Para-Ordnance P-13.

Walther P-5C
Juliet (Claire Danes) holds a Walther P5-C pistol with pearl grips to her head. This gun was later used (with a silencer) by Willem Dafoe in The Boondock Saints. Charles Taylor was the armorer on both The Boondock Saints and Romeo + Juliet, and his company MAG supplied all guns for both shows. It could be the same P5; the pearl grips might have simply been removed for the later film.

Glock 17
A Glock 17 is seen incredibly briefly in the hands of a guest, who collects it from a security tent after attending the Capulet's house party.

MAG-7 shotgun
The "Longsword" which Ted Montague reaches for is actually a South African-manufactured Techno Arms MAG-7 shotgun (it is difficult to tell from the scene in the movie whether it is the original MAG-7 or the civilian MAG-7M1 sold in the United States, which has a fixed wooden stock and a longer barrel). Later on, a MAG-7M1 is seen hung in a gun collection tent at the Capulet's house party.

(There may be spoliers.)

Para-Ordnance P-13
This is the sidearm carried by (Leonardo DiCaprio) as Romeo, later used by Juliet to commit suicide. During the gas station shootout, Sampson (Jamie Kennedy) packs a customized gold-plated version. It is also a pisol held by many characters during the film.

Named the 'Sword 9mm Series S', the gun is seen in the film with a gold plated barrel and golden detailing. It also has trinkets which hang from the lanyard on the mainspring housing of the gun, which is a feature shared by many other pistols belonging to other characters.

Tybalt's 'Rapier 9mm Series R'
Tybalt's 'Rapier 9mm Series R' pistols by far in a way steal the show. They feature compensators, extended spring guides and extended, gold-plated barrels, with custom 'Holy Mary' grips. Acccuracy can also be improved with the added option of attaching a C-more scope. Seemingly like every other pistol in the movie, it also features gold detailing. (Gold-plated safeties, triggers etc.) The flamboyant and excessivly awesome pistols (in my opinion, anyway) reflect the flamboyant and...interesting way Tybalt fights. Twirling, spinning, leaping in the air firing both guns akimbo. This fighting style is later mocked by Benvolio and Mercutio later in the film. Something else that is interesting is that the actor who plays Tybalt sometimes fires each pisol using his middle finger.

(There may be spoliers.)

Para-Ordnance P-13
This is the sidearm carried by (Leonardo DiCaprio) as Romeo, later used by Juliet to commit suicide. During the gas station shootout, Sampson (Jamie Kennedy) packs a customized gold-plated version. It is also a pisol held by many characters during the film.

Mercutio's 'Dagger 9mm'
By far in a way one of the most impressive pistols ever to grace the silver screen, Mercutio Harold Perrineau holds a PT99 with transparent magazines, transparent gun grips, compensator and a gold-plated barrel. It also features various frame and slide cut-outs revealing the inner workings of the gun.

Modified Beretta Model 92FS pistols were used by the characters Abra and Petruchio. It is also carried by some members of Verona Beach PD. Later on, it briefly replaces Romeo's P-13 for unknown reasons, only for Romeo to reuse his P-13 straight after.

(There may be spoliers.)

Para-Ordnance P-13
This is the sidearm carried by (Leonardo DiCaprio) as Romeo, later used by Juliet to commit suicide. During the gas station shootout, Sampson (Jamie Kennedy) packs a customized gold-plated version. It is also a pisol held by many characters during the film.

It's actually a P5C, the compact version, which has a spurred hammer and shorter barrel.
Looks to me it is indeed a pt99. Note, however, that it has a much longer barrel and slide. Any notes on that??
If you look closer you can see what looks like the original slide covered in an over sized shroud to give it a longer look.

Chef Brian: Major overhaul of the entire page, pictures and details added.

(There may be spoliers.)

Para-Ordnance P-13
This is the sidearm carried by (Leonardo DiCaprio) as Romeo, later used by Juliet to commit suicide. During the gas station shootout, Sampson (Jamie Kennedy) packs a customized gold-plated version. It is also a pisol held by many characters during the film.

Smith and Wesson Model 629
A fellow Montague pulls out his revolver when Mercutio discusses the upcoming duel with Tybalt.

Beretta 92FS
Modified Beretta Model 92FS pistols were used by the characters Abra and Petruchio. It is also carried by some members of Verona Beach PD. Later on, it briefly replaces Romeo's P-13 for unknown reasons, only for Romeo to reuse his P-13 straight after.

Seen incredibly briefly in the hands of a guest to the Capulet's party.
