Boomer Buster: /* M4A1 */

The following guns were used in the anime series Hellsing and from it's OVA "Hellsing Ultimate"

Hellsing like many anime started as a manga or graphic novel. The story revolves on an English orginization called Hellsing, most likely based on the original Van Helsing. It's mission is obvious, to hunt down vampires mainly, though on the side they do tackle demonic agents of vampires like ghouls, zombie like creatures that are essential like vampires but their wills are controlled by a head vampire.

The Anime was a bit different and somewhat tame compared to the events in the manga, as such, an "OVA" was created, not complete yet, that shows the more main story of the series rather than filler.

Alucard is the main character of the series, which the series hints that he is Dracula, but now under the service of the head of the Hellsing family. He is not a vampire turned good. He's a true monster that is unleashed on other vampires.

The OVA was created several years after the original anime and under different artists and a bigger budget, so the art is a lot different when compared to the anime. It's like comparing a TV series and the movie based on the TV series.

Handguns
The Joshua Casull
Alucard's first gun, which is a longslide .454 Cassull Autoloader. The Joshua is the first custom handgun made by Hellsing, specifically designed by Walter. It's essentially a very big gun handgun, with a length of 39cm. It's chambered for the mighty .454 Casull round, which finds use primarily in hunting large game, such as deer and bears. Of course, these bullets are special, being made out of silver obtained from melted holy relics, with an exploding property as well, making for a rather devestating cartridge against the legions of the night. The magazines only hold about six rounds, plus one.

The Casull is based believed to be based upon the colt 1911 or its varients like the longslide, however I have notices that it bears a greater resemblance to Early model Colt Pistols).

In some episodes of close ups, you'll notice the hammer is never fully cocked, and is moving back as he pulls the trigger, meaning a double action mechanism, the pivot trigger is another indication of this, similiar to the early colts.

The lengthy barrel and slide gives this gun incredible accuracy and the weight at the front of the gun makes the massive round significantly more controllable. Something this extreme suits Alucard perfectly.

Jackal
Alucard's second handgun made espeically for him. Jackal was made after Alucard's first encounter with Anderson - in fact, it likely was specifically designed with him in mind, considering the 'Jesus Christ is in Heaven, Now!' engraved on the side. Though the gun looks essentially the same, with the same overall length of 39cm, it's radically different, being made from pure silver, weighing 16kg. Obviously, no human could possibly use this gun without being blown away by it. The breech also faces the left, instead of the right, so it's more of a sister gun to the Joshua, though it's magazines can hold the same amount of bullets that Joshua's are capable of. The bullets are different as well, being a slightly bigger 13mm, with a gold casing, a reinforced core for armor penetration, and each bullet being baptized and also explosive mercury.

This gun is beyond belief. No 13mm round was ever produced. A .50 alone would equal 12.7mm, meaning each bullet must be manufactured by Hellsing alone.

It's curious as to how this weapon can weigh 16kg when a full size 7.62X51mm machine gun only weighs 11kg, the weight is probably necessary to control that 13mm round, though with a gun this heavy you could probaly fire a .50cal BMG round and still have the same desired effect.
This was Seras's sidearm in the original Anime but was switched to a P226 in the OVA which would make a lot more sense for a British police officer.
Yan Valentine's gun - Customized FN P90s
The P90's appearance is unconventional, with an odd downward ejection port, but it's one of the more prized military SMGs, having formidable penetration power with the FN 5.7mm bullet, an rate of fire of 900 RPM, and even boasts a horizontal magazine that lies on top of the gun, which carries 50 bullets. Jan's version is considerably customized, first having part of the stock and handle removed, with a more conventional pistol grip placed instead, which allows for duel wielding, the original p90 was more geared toward two handed firing from the shoulder. A silencer has been added, along with an underbarrel laser dot sight. Of course, his eye sigil also adorns the side of the weapon. In the series, one had a long scope attached to it and the other a red dot sight.
Heavy weapons
Hallconnon cannon
Seras Victoria gets this big cannon later in the series. This is the weapon that Walter gives Seras in episode 5, "Brotherhood" and the OVA shows the same scene as well. Depsite the spelling of the name, Hallconnon, it is because the name is derived from the Japanese pronunciation of the primary antagonists of the novel Dune, House Harkonnen. The cannon is almost hilariously oversized, but Seras soon handles it like a normal rifle because of her strength as a vampire. Walter saids that it uses depleted uranium shells, and high explosive rounds.

According to the anime, it's combat effective against all ground and aerial weapons except main battle tanks

It is effecively an artillary piece scaled down to so a person can hold it like a rifle, which Seras does from time to time. To reload, the ammo is breach loaded.

In the Anime, the weapon does not fire normal explosive grenades (though a wide range of ammo can be used, Incognito loads this with special shell contain multiple dart like objects (which must have some magical property beacause Alucard describes it as "magic from the dark continent").
Luke's gun is an M1 Garand with cut down barrel and stock to give it a pistol grip, Luke carries two of these hidden in his jacket and uses them to but a pair of bullet in Alucard's head, for all the good that does.
Wall of Guns
Seen in the first episode of the OVA. From what I can see, there's a Sig P220 series, an AK-74, an M16 with the three-pronged compensator [drawn upside down], a 1911, an M16 with the birdcage compensator, a Colt Python, or some other revolver with barrel ribbing, and a Franchi LM57 so far. Near the end of the wall of guns several muzzle loading muskets, one with a bayonet attached, can be seen.

And all these were apparently pointed at Alucard, but still not enough firepower to take down one of the most powerful vampires in existence.
Browning Hi-Power
Vodka's weapon of choice.Seen brandished with a silencer on one episode

Colt M1911/A1
Colt Combat Commander/Colt Officers M1991A1
Used by Jodie in episode 425 with a silencer as she attamepted to thwart the Org's plan to assasinate a politician through Conan's suggestion. It was also seen with a serial killers during Ran's flashbacks in New York during the theater case.

M24 SWS
First seen used in Episode 425 by one of the mercenary sniper pairs in an attempt to assasinate a politician, then again when the Org engages in a sniper duel with one of the FBI agents, the agent being capable to put a bullet through the M24's scope much like Carlos Hathcock did in Vietnam, missing the Organization's high-ranking personnel in the eye by mere centimetres when he looked through the scope

Tokarev TT-33
By far the most seen and used handgun in Case Closed.Conan is seen describing it in Volume 19 of the book

Colt Commando
Used in three scenes in the movie, carried with an M203 in the mission where chief is killed. The most obvious shot is one where Lt. Curran (Michael Biehn) is carrying one. This movie is one of the very few films where we see an actual XM177 or GAU-5/A rifle (or a very close copy, being that the sound suppressor/flashhiders of the original XM177 were not good for blank firing guns, so many times an existing M16 rifle was custom modified to resemble the XM177. In the 1980s there were a slew of various aftermarket XM177 style flash hiders - some were very accurate, some were not.) At any rate, this is one of the most accurate portrayal of an XM177 in modern U.S. Cinema.

Barrett M82
Used by Dane, Callsign "God", (Bill Paxton), the SEAL sniper to engage four targets during the hostage rescue mission and again during the Beirut mission. The weapon used is the first model Barrett, the M82 (the same used in the film RoboCop), outfitted with a Thermal Imaging Sight and Star Light. The later version M82A1 is the most recognizable version of the semiautomatic Barrett Light Fifty rifle.

RPG-7
The RPG-7 is a rocket propelled grenade launcher used by the terrorists. The rockets show two distinct paint schemes, a darker green paint job, flaking off showing the original yellowish/OD Russian paint underneath.

Kalashnikov
Shaheed's militia use both AKMs and what looks to be original AK-47s. They appear to be milled receiver AKs with Russian Front sights and double tang back ends with the typical 'drop down' angled buttstock and the swivel sling on the body, not the stock. They could have been Poly-Technology Legend series of AKs that were imported during the 1980s (this movie was shot in 1989 and released in 1990). Like in the more recent movie We Were Soldiers the armorers could have used Milled receiver bodies and assembled AKs from Russian Parts kits. The sequence that was supposed to be Beirut was shot in Spain, and the production could have used weapons provided by European Armorers (who at the time had no restrictions on acquiring Soviet/Russian guns)

AKS-47
The underfolding version of the AK-47 (also sometimes referred to as the AK47 Type 3B (Type 3 indicating type of receiver and B indicating folding metal stock). The underfolding AKS-47s in the movie are milled receiver Russian type guns, one of the few times we actually see real AK-47s (or really close copies) in a U.S. made film.

AKMS
Used extensively during the Beirut Mission by both SEALs and the Opposition Force fighters, the AKMS is the underfolding version of the AKM rifle. These could be converted Maadi ARM/MISR rifles imported into the U.S. or real Russian rifles provided by European Armory houses for the filming in Spain.

Chinese NMD-83
In the 1980s, there were two Chinese imported versions of the RPK (none of which looked very good).
:Not to be confused with the Yugo RPKs imported by Mitchell Arms or the Maadi RPK clones, nor the Norinco NHM-91 which was a post 1989 import gun with a thumbhole stock and no barrel threads.
One of the pre-1989 ban guns was the NMD-83 - it had a 21" barrel, a standard AK stock and a muzzle brake (none of which was accurate for the RPK). They also imported a second RPK clone (whose name escape me) that had a Chinese style club foot stock but placed the bipod BEFORE (!!) the front sight, not after it, affixed to a long muzzle brake. This also looked atrocious and not many were sold. Not sure about the exact names of the Chinese RPK clones, since they didn't sell very well (hopefully someone who actually has a pre-1989 gun can let us know the exact name).

In the film, Leary (Rick Rossovich) carries what is supposed to be an RPK light machine gun. It appears to be a modified NMD-83 rifle converted to full auto fire. The barrel was lengthened from 21" to 23.25" which is more correct and the muzzle brake was removed. The short bipod was removed and a longer (though tubular, not rectangular) Chinese Bipod was attached (see pic). The Chinese Style front sight with the enclosed top hood was still used. Errors in the gun's modification are (a) the barrel is not an RPK heavy barrel but a long standard AK barrel, (b) The front foregrip is still a standard AK, in fact it's a Chinese Type 56 style, with the slot for the pig sticker bayonet, which is wrong, (c) the buttstock is the Chinese style clubfoot stock, not the thicker, more angular Russian RPK stock and (d) the receiver appears to be a standard Type 56 stamped receiver without the reinforcing bar of the RPK.

Gungrave is an intense story of two friends who climb the ladder of their city's organized crime association. The series follows Brandon Heat and Harry MacDowell as they rise through the ranks of Millennion becoming an established hitman and a cut-throat business tycoon. From the creator of Trigun
Grave carries a huge, though technically small, as it isn't the size to hold a body, metal coffin on his back which contains a variety of weapons like a machinegun. The manner in which Grave carries and uses the coffin bears a strong resemblance to the cross carried by the Wolfwood from Trigun Trigun. It is also directly inspired by the 1966 movie Django in which the main character carries a coffin with a Gatling gun inside.
Seen held by the Riot policeman that was likely killed in the shot below. It seems to have a tri-rail forearm.
Probably in hands at members of spetsnaz with boards a pistol-automatic machine of Russian manufacture СР-3 "Вихрь"! At least it is most similar to it.

Glock
The GameTrailers Analysis states that it is a Glock 22, but this is unconfirmed. It could be a Glock 18 since in the video demo shown at the E3 conference, it fires fully automatically.

*An interesting note is that the Glock fires dramatically slower than a Glock 18 or other converted Glocks. The Glock from the video's rate of fire is only around 600-700 RPM, where as a real Automatic Glock fires around 1100+ RPM -- Mythekal

:The guy COULD just be firing in semi VERY fast so that it seems like it's full auto. A lot of the handguns in COD4 if you tap the trigger in quick successions, it seems almost full auto Excalibur01 04:45, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
H&K USP .45
Shown in a stage demo for GameSpot, Roach wields it with a knife at the same time. There is a similar technique where you do this with a flashlight. If someone would care to name it please do as I forgot for the moment.

*Take your pick from CQC, CQB, Combatives or Defendu. Dongs 11:27, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
** The particular technique shown below with the support arm under the wrist of the main arm indexing the flashlight along the axis of the barrel is called the Harris Method. In this case it's being done with a knife presumably because it looks cool.
*** It's actually done for CQC and not just cause it looks cool. A similar method to this is what Snake does on MGS.But he holds the Knife with the gun by the grips.Perhaps the Harris method is more comfortable than Snake's CQC method,so they made it that way.
IMI Desert Eagle
In one scene of the new trailer, presumably a secondary bad guy carries a Jericho 941 Handgun with a laser aiming module attached it. It's hard to say as to whether this is a Jericho or a Desert Eagle, however it appears to be too small to be a desert eagle. He quickly shoots two agents in a quick draw at point blank before possible shooting a third sitting in a car.
