Bone Tomahawk is a 2015 Western starring Kurt Russell as Sheriff Franklin Hunt, Patrick Wilson as Arthur O'Dwyer, Richard Jenkins as Chicory, and Matthew Fox as John Brooder. The film was directed by S. Craig Zahler. Of particular interest for Western enthusiasts is the fact that Peter Sherayko was brought on as armorer and producer for this film, hence the excellent gun choices.
First he carries a blued 5" barrel Schofield similar to the "Wells Fargo" variations. Later he carries a full-length nickel-plated Schofield with ivory grips.
Arthur O'Dwyer (Patrick Wilson) uses a Merwin, Hulbert & Co. First Model Frontier Army throughout the movie. It is differentiated from other later models by the lack of a top strap. It is nickel plated.
Winchester Model 1873
John Brooder (Matthew Fox) carries a very distinct engraved and nickel-plated Winchester Model 1873 carbine in the film. It is another choice that I am sure was influenced by Peter Sherayko. Very unique version of the gun, very fitting of Brooder's high-falutin' character.
Sheriff Franklin Hunt (Kurt Russell) uses two different Smith & Wesson Schofields during the movie. First he carries a blued 5" barrel Schofield similar to the "Wells Fargo" variations. Later he carries a full-length nickel-plated Schofield with ivory grips.
Jeez, it's really that big of a deal? No one else is putting up this page. I spent several hours grabbing screenshots and editing them and then I had to stop to take care of my kids. I haven't edited one of these in a while and in the past I just grabbed another page as a template and edited it. I didn't have time to finish it last night and didn't think someone would blow a gasket at an unfinished page for an obscure Western after less than 24 hours. It's not like this is a scholarly journal and I'm sending out critically incorrect information that someone else is going to quote in their paper. I'm making a fan page on my own time. And I'm going to do a good job of it. Is there no room for a little slack? Can my past good work speak for me a little bit? --User:Blokhed (talk) 15:47, 13 November 2015 (PST)

I'm a 34-year-old "Western" gun enthusiast. (My "day" job is firefighter.) I love the guns, history, and variations, from the Colt Paterson all the way up through the Winchester 1897 shotgun. I love finding movies that use unusual Western weaponry, like the Volcanic rifle in For a Few Dollars More, or any early Western that actually uses period-appropriate rifles and revolvers.

This is a valuable resource as a reference for accurately drawing guns and people using them, which I do quite often. I wish other comic artists out there would do the same, because I have seen some really poorly "guessed at" Western comics.

For the most part I don't give two craps about modern guns, and the pages dedicated to the many variations of Sigs or Glocks or Ak-47s and their clones bores me to no end. But, hey, to each is own; I acknowledge that my monomania may hold little interest to others.

I started it yesterday and haven't finished it yet. Someone dicked with it though and erased some of my work. And also put up erroneous information (Jenkins carries a double-barrel throughout). --User:Blokhed (talk) 13:28, 13 November 2015 (PST)

Like you were told on your talk page, you need to delete out the information and the screenshots from the previous film in a timely manner if you are using a previously created page as a template. --Ben41 (talk) 16:39, 13 November 2015 (EST)

:We don't have a problem with you not finishing in one go, it was just really confusing having caps and characters from a completely different movie on same page. --Funkychinaman (talk) 19:06, 13 November 2015 (EST)

:: This film doesn't come out on video in the US until December 29, so all screencaps should only be from the released trailers. --Ben41 (talk) 19:27, 13 November 2015 (EST)

::: Incorrect, it was released on VOD (Amazon and iTunes) and limited release theaters last month, which is how I own it and was able to obtain screencaps. --User:Blokhed (talk) 16:44, 13 November 2015 (PST)
