Bond does not use a P99 at all during the film. He has a PPK until near the end, and then for the final action sequence he uses a SIG P226 and a SIG P210 in which he intends to shoot Camille to put her out her misery. Eventually he uses the P210 to blow a tank and enable their escape. The PPK returns for the finale where Bond confronts Vespers ex-lover. Sadly the P99 does not make a return.

==SIG-Sauer P226==
Bond is seen taking this from an another agent during an escape from his arrest in the hotel lift. He then uses it to raid the hotel and face Greene in the showdown[[SIG-Sauer P220 pistol series#SIG P226|P226]]. It is lost during the fight and he later procures the P210.

The principles behind the ASP 2000 handgun are not at all new and were invented by Paris Theodore the founder of Seventrees NY in the late Sixties/early Seventies. But the ASP 2000 is an update of that concept that brings together a unique collection of assets that make it the premiere covert carry, combat pistol in the world. A highly customized Smith & Wesson 3913, it is almost as small as a Walther PPK and just as slim, if not slightly more slimmer than the new Walther PPS. It is chambered in 9mm Parabellum and holds 8+1 rounds. The finish is smoothed and the front sight removed which reduces snagging on a quick draw. The convential sights are replaced with a guttersnipe combat sight which although are not pinpoint accurate, are more than adequate when used at close range, which is exactly what this defensive firearm is designed for. The sight picture also lets you see exactly what you are shooting at, rather than the target being hidden by the front post of the regular sight systems found on pistols. The external modifications are only 40% of the story, the internals have been tweaked/replaced and polished and smoothed to produce a high level of performance only a custom gun can have. The grip is windowed so that ammunition can be checked at a glance. The ASP system has been proven as one of the quickest draw, point and shoot handguns rarely surpassed by production pistols. The ASP 2000 is a narrow focus handgun designed for concealment, speed of draw and ultra quick target acquisition for a person who knowingly goes in harms way.

The principles behind the ASP 2000 handgun are not at all new and were invented by Paris Theodore the founder of Seventrees NY. But it brings together a unique collection of assets that make it the premiere covert carry, combat pistol in the world. It is as small as a Walther PPK and just as slim as the new Walther PPS, yet is chambered in 9mm Parabellum and holds 8+1 rounds. The finish is smoothed to prevent snagging and the front sight removed which reduces snagging, and replaced with a guttersnipe combat sight. The external modifications are only 40% of the story, the internals have been tweaked/replaced and polished and smoothed to produce a high level of performance only a custom gun can have. The grip is windowed so that ammunition can be checked at a glance. The ASP 2000 is a narrow focus handgun designed for concealment, speed of draw and ultra quick target acquisition for a person who knowingly goes in harm's way.
