An important note to editors: Please differentiate between "a" (firearm) and "the" (firearm). "the" (firearm) should only be used when you are describing 1 single firearm that can transfer hands as many times as it does, whereas "a" should be used when you are describing the same type of firearm, but have no proof to back up that that single firearm "storywise" was in other screenshots. The trank guns are Baby WE high capa 3.8 green gas airsoft guns. WE makes several variations of these high quality all metal airsoft guns that field strip, and function very much like the real deal. Looks like a customized P226 with a 20 round magazine, the lack of a beavertail and the presence of the forward serrations make me think of the P226 Extreme. I also think it's what Casey has been carrying in the last few episodes. --Crazycrankle 07:22, 3 June 2011 (CDT) - This is definitely the gun that Casey has been using namely the shootout at Ms. Winterbottom's house, I can tell by the long grip. Ms. Winterbottom refers to it as "That damn pea-shooter" - that being when she pulls an M60 from her dainty cedar chest. - Sergei Titov (Сергей Титов)

:It's not a P226 Extreme - doesn't have the right grips. Look at the slide design - it has the space between the cocking serrations and the rear of the slide that is seen only on the original German-made P226s with stamped-steel slides. It looks to me like this is an older-model SIG P226 that has been customized to look like a P226 Equinox, just as Casey's SIG P229 is an older-model 229 modified to look like an Equinox. -MT2008 09:03, 3 June 2011 (CDT)
SIG 229
I just have a quick question, for those of you who play video games: What game could Morgan possibly be referring to that would allow him to identify Casey's weapon as a SIG 229? The only game I'm aware of that has the 229 is Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain, and even then, the gun isn't IDed by name (to my understanding). So what game might Morgan have played? It's nothing particularly important; just curious. -MT2008 17:00, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
::We can assume that Morgan is such a game dork that he would have identified (or had the gun verbally identified by another geek to him) while playing the game. For the record, I know next to nothing about Video Games. When I have to choose hmmmm, shoot the 229 in a video game or shoot the 229 for real? I tend to choose shooting the guns for real 100% of the time ;) LOL MoviePropMaster2008 20:20, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

Honestly, I don't think the producers looked to see if it was in any games. They assumed that it would be in a game, and that Morgan's nerdiness would allow him to identfiy it.

Enter the Matrix has a Sig 229 sporter in the game and it should be in any game dealing with the secret Service, and it is in "Secret Service: The Ultimate Sacrifice". Spades of Columbia

:I don't know much about video games either, but even in games about the secret service would they identify the weapon by its actual name? I thought video games always made up names for the weapons they feature, even if the weapons are based on real models. -Anonymous

I doubt they were thinking of it, they just wanted to show that although he is a nerd he can identify a weapon, besides TV shows and movies have often used games that don't exist for when character has to play something, why would they bother with thinking which game has the gun or if there is one that has it at all--188.112.128.8 13:11, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

Good example: In "Chuck vs. the helicopter" I believe the simulator games mentioned were fictional.

Going off on a bit of a tangent would Casey's SIG be chambered in .357 SIG as are the secret services 299's, i know morgan said it was a 9mm but this has never been confirmed either way and you never see and guns chambered in this calibur on television - Captain Snikt

:Dude, you see this picture:

:

:Enlarge it to full-size and you can see that it says "9mm Para" on the top of the barrel visible from the ejection port. And the gun you see in this picture is the actual SIG 229 that Adam Baldwin uses on the show, as I wrote in the caption on the page. So yes, I'd say that this does confirm his gun is a 9mm. Remember, this is a TV show, not real life; Hollywood's armorers tend to use 9mm pistols instead of other calibers because 9mm used to be the easiest caliber to convert to blank-fire. What the Secret Service uses in real life is irrelevant (and Casey is said to be NSA, anyway). -MT2008 03:20, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

Fair enough, It's just a shame we never get to see any of the more powerful lesser known rounds in movies/tv, but thanks for clearing that up - Captain Snikt

Glock prop
While I'm not sure, it's not likely the Glock 17 used is an airsoft gun from airsplat. Airsoft websites have a tendency to bs about having their guns used on movies and tv shows when they aren't, and since ISS was supplying plenty of real blank converted weapons it seems unlikely they'd use a gas blowback airsoft gun. - Gunmaster45
::Well access to the weapons is not the primary point. When you have a network budget, you ALWAYS have access to blank firing weapons. But blanks ARE expensive and loud. They could have been filming in a location that prohibited the live fire. We all have been in areas where we could NOT fire loud blanks for one reason or another. That's when you use the Gas blowback guns and have your post production guys add in flash, brass casings and gas from the ejection port (or in the case of SyFy channel original films, you use a spring airsoft gun, mime fire it and put in endless crappy CGI muzzle flashes that exceed the magazine capacity of the weapon)..... But NBC has a contract with ISS, so ALL GUNS in ALL NBC shows have to come from ISS, so one can assume that if they needed a non firing weapon, they would have just used an ISS non-gun (aka flashpaper gun). mpm
SIG-Sauer P228
Did anyone notice in the episode "Chuck vs. the Aisle of Terror, how after disarming the CIA informant of his cocked P228, (looked to me like it was finished with Robar Np3) Casey decocked the gun while barely glancing at it? I am not sure if this was part of the script, or a result of Adam Baldwin having used the nearly identical SIG-Sauer P229 for the past four seasons and being familiar with the system. - SIGmund

:It was a factory nickel SIG P226 (I saw the squared trigger guard), not a P228. But yes, Adam Baldwin obviously was familiar with SIGs. -MT2008 16:19, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

CT rubber overmold lasergrips are comfy and id get some. Useful too. And Id NP3 the barrels, leave controld alone, polishing those is too much bling. Id get a .40, with a 357 sig barrel, and a 9mm bar sto conversion barrel and mec gar p228 mags. Then a .22 conversion slide. o i could have 4 calibers in one gun.
There is a magazine, if you look at the size of the gap it's too small for a magazine to go in, and if you look around the outside of the gap you can see where the magazine meets with the grip towards the back. It might look like there is no magazine but there is definitely a magazine in there. --cool-breeze 11:55, 24 July 2011 (CDT)
:It's definitely a post-ban magazine. SIG post-ban mags all have a base plate with a huge gaping hole that extends up into the length of the magazine and limits their capacity (and they're also shorter in length than a standard-capacity mag, which means that you can't expand their capacity simply by swapping the base plates). == Lack of Holsters ==

It seems weird that for all being professional spys that all of the major characters just tuck their guns into the waist band of their pants unless they are in tactical gear or sarah has hers in her purse. It seems weird that with options like in the waste band holsters they wouldn't use them. I could see how chuck might not know about this kinda stuff but it seems surprising for sarah and extremely surprising for a gun enthusiast like casey.--Afpnj03 18:24, 12 November 2011 (CST)
I never realised that until you pointed it out. You would expect at least Casey would use a holster for his SIG... --cool-breeze 19:44, 12 November 2011 (CST)

They are always carrying them concealed. When they are unconcealed Casey keeps his in a titanium case, and Sarah keeps her 5906 wherever. they probably have concealed waistband holsters, or just none at all because for the instances where they are concealed... they won't be concealed for long. --Сергей Титов, Sergei Titov 21:49, 12 November 2011 (CST)

Sarah definitely doesn't have a waistband holster, several times it's just tucked in her trousers. Not even a IWB holster which would be a lot safer than just sticking it in her trousers. --cool-breeze 09:28, 13 November 2011 (CST)

I only really noticed it when chuck first gets his via job in season 3 and goes to beck mans office and the gun falls out of the back of his pants, and at that point i realized who weird it was that none of them had holsters and that the via/nsa didn't issue them or something.--Afpnj03 14:15, 13 November 2011 (CST)
Split into seasons?
Seriously, this page is well past due. For a show that's on its fifth season and features such a ridiculous number of firearms, this page needed to be split up ages ago. -MT2008 17:04, 13 December 2011 (CST)

Usually I would say yes, but I would recommend NOT doing it because this is the last season and the series isn't adding a massive amount of new guns. Also there's a lot of overlap of guns between seasons. --Ben41 20:55, 13 December 2011 (CST)

:Overlap of guns does not mean that we don't create new pages for the different seasons when they get to be THIS long. Same applies to the show ending. This page is just too huge, and I'm not even sure it's complete (off the top of my head, I can recall at least a half-dozen other types of firearms from the show that haven't been included here, and I am sure that there are many, many more). I think it needs to be split up. -MT2008 22:20, 13 December 2011 (CST)

::Actually, let me re-phrase that: The issue isn't so much missing weapons so much as missing documentation of who used what. I don't know the hell anyone missed the fact that Jill (Jordana Brewster) used the Smith & Wesson 3913 "Ladysmith" as her sidearm in Season 2 (I remember there was even a very good close-up of it in the first episode where she used it). The page only documents that gun's brief appearance in Season 1. -MT2008 22:29, 13 December 2011 (CST)

:::Yeah I didn't want to split up Miami Vice at first, but it damn sure made things easier when it was. Viewing and loading are way easier. Overlap? The only major overlap you get is the main characters sidearms. This page is 90k, it shouldn't be more than 30k. --Predator20 23:39, 13 December 2011 (CST)

::::Well, if someone wants to split it up then, go right ahead. If there are any more missing weapons, please specify what episode they're seen in. You can see that a lot of the screenshots are marked with what episode they are in. --Ben41 02:51, 17 December 2011 (CST)
:I had the same thought, but my contact at ISS didn't tell me whether they were the same gun, and he's usually told me whenever they reuse particular weapons in different movies/TV series (i.e. he told me that the M4/M203 from Transformers was also used in Rambo). -Actually Norinco made a copy of the M203 40mm grenade launcher to be used with AK type weapons. As does Romania. So this setup is believable -Spectre85
::No it is ridiculous ... since the weapon is supposed to be RUSSIAN, not Chinese (since the weapon was taken off of a Spetnaz Sergeant) and the Russians never used M203 or clones of the M203 during this time period. Also I've never heard of a Norinco M203 so please furnish a link or something to prove this. This is very intriguing information.
-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AG-40 Here is a link for the Romanian AG-40 -Spectre85
::It's still ridiculous because it's anachronistic. None of these M203 rip off clones were made in the 1980s when the film was shot and set. So the set up is ridiculous. MPM2008

Did'nt the Mujahideen use captured AK's with a M203 attached? Obviously supplied by the CIA with GL's ammo, and the rifle ammo they scrounged for. I do vaguely remember an abs model kit version with wooden stock AK & M203GL that was available in the mid 1980's.
::I collected all the ABS kits from the 1980s and I think you're remembering something which did not exist. As for the CIA, except for the Stingers, all the small arms they supplied were Soviet in design.

- As far as the multiple shots from the M203, Rambo picks up at least two grenades from the sand after defeating Sgt. Kourov. With one already chambered in the launcher, he could have three or four shots. He is seen reloading it when he and Trautman are taking cover in the ditch.
::I think the loading scene is the FIRST grenade. He never reloads after the battle starts, of course this could have been edited out or not shot. There is another scene mentioned in the film where Rambo picks up an enemy gun and the shot was removed by the editor and makes it look like Rambo magically as a new rifle. MPM2008
T-64
Based on the Western-style fume extractor I suspect the tank is an Israeli Ti-67 with a 105mm gun vice a true T-64, same as was used on The Beast.
::Wrong. It's a T-62. Sure they may have added on some mods, but it's NOT a T64. The the Ti-67 from the Beast is a modified T-55, not a 62.

Also, the FN MAG isn't really missing the butt, that's the correct configuration when firing from a mount. The butt comes off and you just attach the rear plate.

By the way, the Soviet army used in Afghanistan, the only type of tank - T-62. All references to the T-72, T-64 or any other types of tanks are wrong. Slow Rider 20:19, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
:First of all, one episode doesn't necessarily mean the entire show is anti-gun. This show, like most TV shows, has had many, many writers depending on episode/season.
I've been looking for a long time now to find a weapon that Hetty briefly used in a scene in S02E23 (Imposters) and it was shown again in S02E24 (Familia). It was mounted to a some kind of an arm rack. I'm sure a picture will tell a thousand words, here they are:

Here Hetty pulls (rather slides) it out of her sleeve, bugging off the uninvited. (S02E23)
Here Hetty uses it against two men to deliver a message to the Comescu. (S02E24)

After Sam, G., Deeks and Kensi clear the building that Hetty was in before, Sam picks up Hetty's pistol, mounted to an arm rack(?). (S02E24)

It would also be nice to know what these kinds of "racks" are actually called, although I'm quite certain it was partly fantasy, but I'd be surprised if no-one has tried to manufacture one of such things. Thank you for all the help you can give me.
Of course, this isn't to deny that Hollywood is full of people who are gun-hating leftists, or at least pay lip service to left-leaning ideas (every gun owner in America knows this).

:Anyway, I have mentioned on the talk page for MacGyver that IMFDB is not a political site, and we do not care about or discuss politics here. We exist to document guns in movies, period, regardless of the political sentiments held by the cast/crew of said movie. -MT2008 15:34, 27 October 2010 (UTC)

The militia episode showed them with g36c, m4a1, etc. These aren't "civilian" guns, they weren't shown buying these at the local gun store. Besides, gun handling is very good, excellent grips and trigger control by main characters.
Assassin's Glock "17"
The Glock wielded by the assassin, noted as a Glock 17, looks more like a 19 or other Glock semi-compact to me, judging by the distance between top of the trigger guard and end of the barrel. Anyone care to confirm this (or not)? - TrueBeliever19 21:09, 27 February 2011

The obvious SEF trigger group in the first picture makes me doubt those are really MP5A4s. I didn't see the episode, so if they fired in 3-round bursts I don't know. Unless there's another characteristic of A4s that A2s don't have, I'd say those are all MP5A2s. MrOshimida27 22:48, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Hetty Lange's unidentified revolver

UPDATE: After a little venturing I found that it's probably an NAA .22 Magnum (or .22LR) Mini-Revolver. But I'm still quite interested in the rack, if someone could please shed some light on it, thanks.
STANAG Compatibility
According to Wikipedia the Minimi/M249 SAW are compatible with 30-round STANAG magazines and the 5.56mm Beta-C magazine. How common, if at all, would this be in the US military? MrOshimida27 18:23, 6 April 2011 (CDT)
Very uncommon the Minimi is unreliable with any sort of magazine. It's a mechanical flaw in the feed system. The weapon runs great with belts but put in a magazine and the reliability drops to nothing. Rockwolf66 18:32, 6 April 2011 (CDT)

This is a great, affordable, light, accurate, and reliable handgun. It has been my BUG for 9 years and I wouldn't have it any other way.

:Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but, "affordable"? Surely you concede that a new USP costs more than any other polymer-framed service pistol on the market (and often more than some steel-framed pistols)? -MT2008 14:00, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Well yes the USP is expensive but the old fart has gotta point, it's a pretty awesome gun.

Without a doubt my favorite tactical handgun

My favorite is the Expert model

:I would buy a USP45 in a second if they did something about the trigger-S&Wshooter
--You CAN take it to a gunsmith and have the trigger cleaned up. You might try the Expert model or the Mark 23 if you want a better trigger. Heck, if you're going to go spend $1,500 to $2,000 on a gun, might as well get something you like. I honestly would rather spend that kind of money on a Les Baer or something, but the USP is good too.

I have a question, is the USP Match just a regular USP with the compensator? Are there any othere differences? Is the compensator removable?

It has target sights, an adjustable trigger, and the barrel is extended. The compensator can be removed, but doing so leaves you with a rather awkward looking barrel. It also has the same rubber o-ring around the barrel that the Mk. 23 has.--PistolJunkie 18:24, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

I love the gun except it's got one squeeky ass trigger.

-The best two USP models are the Expert and the Mark 23. That's coming directly from my friends who have shot both in IDPA for years. The Expert and Mark 23 both have better, more cleaned up triggers compared to the base USP models. All of them are exceptionally accurate and reliable. The only compromise you have to make is in the wallet. They aren't cheap.

It has everything. Accurate, lightweight, high ammo capacity, virtually indestructible. But it's big (big grip - don't believe me - hold a Mark 23). And they are expensive.

Funny how its a $1,000 dollar gun yet has a horrible DA trigger pull. I would expect it from a Glock at $500 but a USP? Really?--FIVETWOSEVEN 03:13, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
LAPD service weapons
Is it legal for LAPD to use USPs in real life or was it just made up for 24?

It's not an official issue weapon, at least according to Wikipedia. Only the Beretta 92, various S&W Automatics and Glocks. The Wierd It 20:17, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
: I know for fact the LAPD does use the Beretta (I would think it's kinda common-knowledge, at least to us gun guys), and I have seen LAPD officers with a couple of different S&W autos. I also agree that the USP is not any official service weapon (or at least, I seriously doubt it is). StanTheMan 00:48, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

LAPD also uses the Kimber TLE II 1911. (They call it the LAPD SWAT Custom). But detectives use this gun as well as LAPD SWAT teams.

I've never seen any LAPD officers with Glocks. Just about all of them have the Beretta 92FS because that's their standard issue sidearm. And the occasional old-timers with the 6-shooter .38 Specials.

I don't know of a single police department in the United States that uses H&K handguns. More or less because of the price. They do use H&K MP5s on SWAT teams. Although I see that phased out more and more in favor of the M4A1.

Apparently H&K USP compacts and H&K P2000s are currently used by US Border Patrols.

LAPD is transitioning to Glock, Upland uses USP i believe, and USP is on the LASD approved carry list. Mercer 04:07, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
