Just watched the movie. Nice action. However, based on proximity of shots and on this spot, all (or most part) of the weapons from this movie are airsoft.

:Although airsoft are sometimes used for non-firing scenes in movies, I doubt that "all" or even "most" of the guns in this movie are airsoft. Nobody makes an airsoft version of the P30L, for example (Umarex makes air replicas of the standard P30 with licensed trademarks, but they do not produce the long-barreled P30L, the particular variant that Keanu uses in this movie). Many of the other guns in the movie, such as the Kel-Tec KSG and Coharie Arms CA-415, also do not have airsoft equivalents at this time.

:Even though GBB pistols have been used for actors firing at other actors at close range, there are also ways to make real guns perform the same function. For example, Cinema Weaponry installed an electronic recoil system into a real Glock 19 for the scene in ''[[Terminator 3]]'' where Arnie is shot by Claire Danes from less than a foot away. Something similar was used in the "dodge this" scene of ''[[The Matrix]]'' when Carrie Anne-Moss shoots the Agent in the head with her Beretta 84F. :Thank you for the explanation, I put it wrong, blaming that all weapons were airsoft. It's clearly seen in the video, that guns actually do the reload cycle. It's definitely easier to use recoil mechanisms for the armorers.

Proper ID of the weapons can be obtained through various sources related to the movie, including the movie's web site (which, despite naming them as AMT Silverballers, clearly show a Para-Ordnance P18.9), DVD special features, publicity shots and a few fleeting close-up shots in the movie. Interpol Special Agent Jenkins ([[Michael Offei]])'s main weapon throughout the movie is a [[Heckler & Koch USP]] handgun with a light attachment. The weapon has tall adjustable sights, so it is possible that this is the USP Custom Sport variant. The Custom Sport was never imported to the United States, but since this film was done in Bulgaria, it's possible that the Bulgarian armorers who worked on the film did have access to one of these pistols.

==Arsenal AR and AR-F==

One of the most commonly seen assault rifles in the movie is the Bulgarian-manufactured Arsenal AR, along with its folding-stock version, the AR-F. These are the [[AK-47]]-type rifles that are used by the Russian Alpha commandos and seen on the table and walls in Udre Belicoff's palace. Agent 47 himself also briefly uses a heavily kitted-out Arsenal AR at Udre's place during the big shootout. The AR is a modernized version of the original AK-47 which features the same milled receiver of the older rifle, but with black synthetic furniture and several other improvements. Because ''Hitman'' was filmed mostly in Bulgaria, it makes sense that the Bulgarian armorers who worked on the movie would have had easy access to weapons made in their own country, hence the frequent use of these rifles.

Interestingly, all of the Bulgarian AR rifles in the movie seem to be fitted with East German-style blank-firing adapters (BFAs) on the muzzles, which are clearly visible in all of the screencaps below.

When Agent 47 is in his hotel room early in the film, he has an unknown nickel-plated [[M1911 pistol series|M1911]]-type pistol sitting on the edge of the sink which is clearly not one of his Para-Ordnance P18.9s (the bore diameter is obviously .45, not 9mm) and doesn't seem to have Para-Ordnance styling of any sort. Another nickel/stainless 1911 with pearl or ivory grips is briefly seen in Udre Belicoff's palace.

Agent 47 remarks that it's actually a '''"Chinese copy"''', but in reality, the Chinese do not manufacture a copy of the PP-91.

Both Udre and Agent 47 have mis-identified this weapon. A close inspection reveals that the gun they both handle is most definitely a Shipka and ''not'' a Kedr PP-91. Pictures of both weapon types are shown below for comparison's sake.

Being ignorant of guns in general, despite being an illegal arms dealer, Udre claims that the Makarov PM fires .22LR ammunition. Yet another in a long series of factually false statements by Belicoff. To be fair, there was a .22 LR conversion kit available for the Makarov ([http://www.makarov.com/graphics/mak22cnv.jpg]), but it seems unlikely that Udre would know this.

''[[Piraty XX veka]]'' (''Pirates of the XXth Century'') is a 1979 Soviet film directed by Boris Durov about modern piracy. A Soviet cargo ship carrying a load of medicinal opium is attacked by a group of vicious pirates, who sink the ship and leave its crew for dead. The surviving crew members decide to take revenge by attacking the pirates, who have hidden their ship at a small Pacific island. This film was the highest grossing Soviet movie of 1980.
